Character profiles.

If you like to write too, I would like to share some ways I come up with my characters, mainly, there profiles. This has helped me a lot with character development.

Name_____ . Put character's first, middle and last name (and possibly why they are named what they are).

Tags:________________ . Put what your character looks like. Such as blond hair/blue eyes. And if they talk a certain way or something.

Wardrobe:__________________. Put down what your character wears, when you mention different clothes on them and so on.

Emotions:____________. Write common emotion your character show's in your story, such as sarcasm/depression/goofiness.

Reactions:____________. Put down what your character does/reacts to things that happen to him/her. Such as if someone told them that they loved her/him, what would they say/do?

Beliefs:_______________________. What is there religious beliefs/political/family beliefs?

Family:____________________. Write there family background! This is very important because family shapes what you think and do.

Friends:_______________________. Say who there closest friends are, with the other characters in your book so that you know who they feel comfortable with and who they don't.

Goals:______________. Write down your character's goals. A good protagonist usually has more then one goal. One main goal then maybe one or to side things.

Goal changes:____________________. You might be asking, what is this? But character's do change goals. Say a person is trying to get a job at a factory (goal one) but finds that the owner is not a Christian, so he tries to evangelize hi (goal two).

Actions character is in:____________________. Actions are scenes, but I like to call them actions, because there needs to be (in every scene) an Action/event that moves the protagonist towards his/hers goal. Put down which scenes/actions the character is in.

Yes, so this is something I've made up to help me. I hope it can help you to.
