Here is the very beginning of my book:
In a a small, little world still known to this day as earth, in a country called Madric, formally called the U.S. yet much smaller, in a town called Battle Field, formally known as Denver, in a tiny house a little girl lay in her bed, letting her mother cover her up with her blanket.
"Mommy?" she asked.
"Yes?" Martha, her mother answered, stroking her blond head.
"Did you love daddy?"
Martha nodded her head.
"Yes, I did. I still do. He was very special to me."
The girl looked up at her mom with brilliant blue eyes.
"You're very special to me, mom."
Martha smiled. "I know."
The girl frowned.
"What does 'special' mean?"
Martha laughed and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Well, it means uniquely and-"
"What does 'uniquely' mean, mom?"
Martha drew the blanket around the girls shoulders "It means you ask a lot of questions."
The little girl looked expectantly up at her. Martha grew sober.
"Well... Unique means that you do or think something that no one else can."
The little girl thought hard about that for a moment then spoke again.
"So you love daddy like no one else can."
"That's right. But it also means that there is no one in the world that is like you because you are special."
"Mommy?"
"Yes?"
"Do you love me special?"
Martha bent down and kissed her daughters forehead.
"Yes, I do, Jancen. I love you very, very special."
This is off the top of my head, but I kind of like it! Haha, wow! Forgive my mispellings and such, I am not very good at that. :) Hope you liked it!
Bye!
